Description
MAINTAIN POSITIVE PRESSURE & PREVENT CONTAMINATION
Essential for any properly sealed safe room or bunker, the Overpressure Explosion Protection Valve ensures that filtered air exits the shelter while preventing contaminated air from entering. These valves automatically regulate internal pressure to maintain a safe, overpressure environment during NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) events and explosive shockwaves.
HOW IT WORKS
When your shelter’s air filtration system is running, it creates an internal overpressure. These valves automatically open once internal pressure exceeds 60 Pa, allowing stale or excess air to escape. Once the filtration system is turned off and pressure drops, the valve seals shut—blocking outside contaminants from re-entering the shelter.
MODELS & AIRFLOW CAPACITIES
-
UeV-ESV 40 – Supports up to 40 m³/h (filter mode)
-
UeV-ESV 75 – Supports up to 75 m³/h (filter mode)
-
UeV-ESV 150 – Supports up to 150 m³/h (filter mode)
Note: Airflow rates are doubled when operating in fresh air mode (non-filtered).
KEY FEATURES
-
Automatic Operation: Opens at 60 Pa overpressure, closes automatically when pressure drops
-
One-Way Exhaust Flow: Prevents contaminated outside air from backflowing into the shelter
-
Explosion Protection: Designed to withstand and respond to shockwave pressure events
-
Essential for NBC Shelters: Works in tandem with air filtration systems to maintain safe internal conditions
Perfect for bunkers, fallout shelters, or safe rooms that use overpressure-based air filtration systems, these valves are a critical component for maintaining air purity and occupant safety.
